Kitirua Plains Lodge is a luxury lodge in Amboseli, located on a 128-acre private concession adjoining Amboseli National Park. The lodge opened on June 1, 2026 and offers views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

The lodge features 11 suites and 2 two-bedroom suites, for a maximum of 26 guests. The 13 contemporary suites have unobstructed views of Mount Kilimanjaro from bed, tall glass walls, soft textures, natural light, refined furnishings and spacious shaded verandas. They convert to king or twin beds and include air-conditioning, mosquito nets, a minibar, tea and coffee stations, indoor and outdoor showers, a freestanding bathtub and a bidet.

Access is by light aircraft. It is a 40-minute drive from Amboseli Airstrip to the lodge, and the flight time to Amboseli Airstrip is 30 minutes from Nairobi Airport. Included in the stay: all meals, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including premium brands, transfers to and from the nearest airstrip, game drives, emergency medical evacuation, laundry services and bed night levy. Activities include twice-daily expert-led game drives, Maasai community visits and optional hot-air balloon flights at additional cost. Children of all ages are welcome.
